I want to be painfully clear about something…
Any Diabetic Meal Plan that does not destroy harmful fat on the body is NO REAL PLAN…
it’s a band-aid.
Why?
Because Fat on the body interferes with your Insulin Hormone’s ability to remove sugar from the blood.
Harmful Fat Blocks Insulin in 3 ways:
1) Fat numbs the body to the power of insulin through a protein known as “pigment epithelium derived factor”. When the body becomes numb to insulin…doctors have to prescribe MORE insulin just to keep your body functioning properly. You are stuck with Type 2 Diabetes.
2) Fatty acids released from the fat cells are actually toxic (a phenomenon known as lipotoxicity). Here’s how I create my meal strategy, known as The ALKALINE MEAL GUIDE, for people who are serious about killing Bad fat (not good fat) and reversing Type 2 diabetes for good.
1) First, we select a plan. I ask specific questions on 4 items: your height, weight, age and the amount of exercise activity.
2) From there, I use the Mifflin-St Jeor Formula to calculate an estimate of your Basal Metabolic Rate (the amount of energy you burn at rest) and your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).
The Equation looks something like this:
(Mifflin = 10m +6.25 h– 5. 0 a) =+ s.
M is mass in kg, h is height in cm, a is age in years, s is +5 for males and -151 for females).
Optionally, if you know your body fat percentage, I will use the Katch-McArdle Equation to select your plan.
That goes something like this:
(Katch= 370 + 21.6*LBM. Where LBM = Lean Body Mass)
3) Third, I calculate your calorie needs by identifying your ideal ratio of fats, carbohydrates, and protein.
4) Fourth, I’ve identified 24+ Fruits, Vegetables, Beans, and Nuts of which you choose 12 daily to create delicious meals out of or eat completely fresh, without preparation.
